Dunkerque, 25 June 2010
Today was the last chance to prepare the boat for the first races of the Tour de France à la Voile 2010. Yesterday the boat was already in good condition, so that there could be worked on the small things to make the boat sail-ready today (in very nice weather conditions!).
The first thing to do today was to get grip tape on the boat, it was a lot of work, but the result is very nice. Nobody can ever slip on the deck anymore! After that the boat was made ready pretty quickly but there was no time anymore to go out and sail.
This evening there will be the opening of the Tour with the diner organised by the city of Dunkerque. Tomorrow there will be a practice race and a prologue, but both will not count for the overall ranking yet. The real work will start on Sunday.
