What a nice place to start our season in preparation of the Tour de France a la Voile 2010! Yesterday evening Rikst, Ties and Thijs arrived with our boat at Quai Albert after a long trip from Delft.
Wednesday was early day and a lot of preparations had to be done to be ready for the event. Treated by beautiful weather, 14 degrees and clear blue skies, it was amazing to prepare the boat next to the famous F1 circuit with the casino of Monte Carlo at the background and Rolls Royce’s passing by.
For now the boat floats and she’s as good as she gets. Tomorrow morning we have to weigh in and we head out for some line up with the other Farr30 teams. It’s been two months ago we sailed the boat so everybody is very eager to do some sailing again. We will do a short session just to check everything and get the new sails up to speed. After that we’ll treat ourselves on some rest at the Monaco Yacht Club. Friday the races start at 10.00 am.
